Caregivers / Family

Do you find yourself spending more time helping your loved one to make sure they can stay comfortable and safe at home? Are you unable to help your parent but want to make sure they are safe? Either way, we can help identify any physical barriers or weaknesses to keeping your loved one safe and independent at home. We will work with you to find products or services that are within your budget.

Dementia / Alzheimers

While the memory loss associated with dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease interferes with daily functioning, it’s the problems with coordination and mobility that develop as a result that affect one’s ability to live at home safely. We help provide solutions that can help the client and caregiver’s routines and environment more convenient and easier to function so they can stay at home as long as possible.

Older Adults / Stay in your Home

Getting older isn’t about growing old, it’s about dealing with the changes that occur in your life and health. How can you stay at home even though it’s becoming more challenging to keep up? We provide solutions that can accommodate your changing needs through equipment, services, and alterations to the home.

Persons with Disabilities

Functionality For Life helps people of all ages and abilities stay at home. Whether it’s from chronic conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, respiratory challenges like COPD, or cardiac challenges. With our experience, we can help you make changes to your home to make life easier, more convenient and safer. The solutions we offer help you stay where you are most comfortable.

Prevent Falls

Falls are the leading cause of injury, disability, nursing home placement, and death in adults over the age of 65. 1 in 3 adults fall each year. Avoiding falls can be the most important factor in helping you stay in your home. Often it is the house itself that creates the obstacles. Why not change the environment to remove the barriers and fit your changing needs? Even if you’ve already had a fall, we can assess what contributed to the fall to prevent any future falls from occurring while making your home barrier-free and aesthetically pleasing. Falls are not a normal part of aging. Be proactive and follow the saying, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

Catastrophic Injury

People can experience disability as a result of an accident. Whether it leaves a short term or lifelong disability, let us use our medical experience to help create solutions that help you to regain your independence and reclaim your life. Functionality For Life can contribute to assessing your current needs and anticipate any future needs.
